More Than a Ranch
Our story begins in Rosebud, Texas, where our great-grandparents first put down roots and began the family ranching tradition. On that land, our grandparents, Glenn “Grandaddy” and Juanita “Moz,” carried it forward as second-generation cattle ranchers in 1942.
Some of our favorite memories were never about the cattle themselves, but about the life that happened around them — picking peas, tomatoes, and watermelons from the garden, sitting on the porch shelling peas and cracking pecans, working cattle and fixing fences side by side.
We remember waking before sunrise to get work done before the Texas heat set in. Grandaddy always let the kids help, even when it made the work take longer. Moz would call everyone in for “tea time,” and the porch would fill with conversation and laughter. We fished for catfish in the tank, learned to drive trucks and tractors before sixteen, and spent summer days jumping from hay bale to hay bale with cousins and siblings.
Through it all, family, conversation, hard work, and faith were always at the center.
What the Ranch Means Today
To us, the ranch is not simply land, cattle, income, or property. It represents sacrifice, hard work, family history, and a way of life that has been passed down through generations.
Today, the ranch is also a classroom and a gathering place. It’s where Chad’s wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Landon and Grayson, get to experience the same dirt roads, fences, and fields that shaped the generations before them.
Out there, our boys learn what it means to work with their hands, to care for animals and land, to show up even when it’s hard, and to appreciate what others have worked to preserve.
The ranch gives the next generation a chance to see, firsthand, that the legacy they’ve inherited is not something to take for granted — it’s something to honor, protect, and carry forward.

Our Story
Five Generations. One Family. A Legacy Still Being Written.
-K didn’t begin as a business idea. It began long before logos, websites, or product names — in the everyday rhythms of faith, family, hard work, service, and stewardship. What started as a way of life for our family has grown, over five generations, into a family of businesses that all share the same heart: to serve people well.

How -K Was Born
As our family grew and our roots in Godley, Texas, deepened, a new question began to surface:
Not, “What business can we start?” but, “What gifts do we have that can help and serve other people?”
-K Services was born out of that question.
Instead of building a brand around a single product, we began building around a purpose: to serve our community and meet real needs with excellence, integrity, and care.
Over time, different -K businesses have taken shape — each offering its own products and services — but every one of them is tied back to the same foundation: faith, family, quality, and a genuine desire to serve.
Whether we’re working on the ranch, serving a customer, or launching something new, the heart behind -K is the same: to steward what we’ve been given and use it to bless others.
The Legacy Ahead
Looking ahead, our vision for -K is bigger than building successful businesses.
Our hope is that -K becomes a trusted name in our community and beyond — not because of how much we grow, but because of how well we serve. We want people to know that when they work with -K, they’re working with a family that stands behind its word, does things the right way, and puts people before profit.
We also dream about the generations still to come — that one day, Landon and Grayson, their children, and generations beyond might choose to carry this legacy forward in their own ways.
If that happens, our prayer is that they inherit more than land or a business name. We hope they inherit a way of life marked by faith, integrity, and love for people.
